Repairs & Setups
Every repair is done in house, in Boerne, by our own luthier. Nothing gets shipped off to a third party and nothing sits in a queue somewhere else. Bring the instrument in and we will look at it with you at the counter.

The same three brackets apply to restrings and setups alike:
- Standard — acoustic, or an electric or bass with a fixed bridge, and ukulele
- Specialty — Fender style tremolo, Bigsby, violin, or a classical with a tie on bridge
- Advanced — Floyd Rose or Evertune
Restring and setup prices are for labor only. Strings are purchased separately, so you choose the brand and gauge you want on it, and we have plenty on the wall to pick from.

Headstock breaks, refinishing, refrets, bridge work and custom jobs are quoted individually. We will always tell you the price before we start, and if we find something else once the instrument is open, we stop and call you.
How it works
Bring the instrument in during opening hours. We will look at it with you, tell you what it needs and what it will cost, and give you a realistic date. Most restrings and setups turn around quickly. Bigger jobs depend on parts.
Our guarantee
Every setup comes with one free adjustment within 30 days of collection, so we can get it playing exactly the way you want it.
A setup is not permanent. Weather and humidity move an instrument, and so does a change of string gauge. We recommend a setup every six months, or whenever you change gauges.
Guarantees on custom work outside normal maintenance or upgrades are agreed at the start of the job. Equipment defects are not covered. We take pride in the work, and if you are not happy at any point, tell us and we will put it right.
Wolf Music Company is not responsible for loss or damage to customer instruments that was not caused by our repairs or handling. Instruments not collected and paid for within 90 days of us telling you the work is done will be considered abandoned.
